Madamoiselle & November B'day celebs

Hooray! Had a small birthday celebration for the November big babies..hahaha. Both my Sis & I had a small treat for the family at the Andaman restaurant and it was fun as we had the function room privately for us. We had buffets and we had karaoke and we are so the very "Syiok Sendiri" singing without any shame coz its only us. [Buat sja macam rumah sendiri]. Nasib baik the waiters were not in the room during the function. We were really on our own and we rock...Duh! The karaoke session was lousy...actually the singers were lousy aka US, their karaoke were superb. Lots of songs to choose and we had Scores! Oleev and her friend, scored a full hundred singing "I will Survive" despite their stinging-in-the-ear pitch voice..har!har!har! [kes jeles kah tu?]

As for the buffet, just look at those food we had. Everyone was totally full by the end of the occasion. It's a $15 per head buffet and was satisfying for the tummies. Not in the pic, was the 'Soto' and also 'Fruit Salad' which is part of the buffet.

That's 'Kerabu Telor' @ Egg salad {luruskah tu?}

Steamed Rice, Hot Rain Rice[..hehe direct translation che!] Ayam Kurma & Lamb stew

Assam Pedas Fish, Beef ?, Sayur Lodeh

Assorted Cakes

The Food and Drinks Setting

But the most special part of course, the specially ordered cupcakes made by the Queen Cupcakes herself [Toche.. toche your highness] so the very the lawa.... We love it!

Madamoiselle & her Unsuccessfull attempt

Oh! I should have blogged about this the other day. Not that this is of anything interesting to talked about. Just wanna post it for my remembrance. Teehee!! As you might have already known, I am now officially into the world of "The Kitchen" where all amateurs will experience the disastrous side of cooking or baking of First Time. I have to admit, have wasted lots of flours, eggs and butter on few baking occasions that had gone wrong. The first failed attempt was to make a Chocolate Chip Muffin that was supposed to be simple but I miscalculated the amount of baking soda thus resulted, a beautiful muffin but tasted like s****. Had to throw it all, nobody would wanna even try. Then I've tried the Chocolate Mousse and Wahlaaa... it became a gooey like paste that doesn't even comes close to a Mousse. The taste was not bad though, but the sight of its ugliness made me threw it to the bin.

Then, I had this crave for a "Jackfruit cake". I had always like this cake but seldom found it sold anywhere. So I had intended to make one but preferred to make it as a muffin. So i took a basic muffin recipe and just add the jackfruit paste which I had blended earlier. We do stock up a bunch of fruits into the freezer since those fruits were not an all year round fruit we can get.We even have Durian Kuning in the freezer in case we crave for it. :p

Anyway, back to my story, so i tried experimenting the Jackfruit muffin and here's what it had turned out to be:

Added some chopped hazelnut on top for a lil garnish.

Not bad eih? *TuuuuuuT* You're wrong! It might looked okay but when i tasted it, it was still okay as i bit of the top part until i bit my second bite somewhere in the middle it was slightly sticky-ish. I think i had put too much of Jackfruit paste that made the texture un-presentable on the taste bud. I did not throw it though. We just ate the top part and then threw the leftovers. hehehehe... at least this time its 50% failure. Will try to make another new recipe next. I'm planning to bake a B'day cake for a fren this weekend. I hope it'll be a success. Gonna post that next week of how it'll turn out to be.

Madamoiselle & the fish

I've just had my lunch. I was bored so i made a simple fish dish. Don't ask me what fish it is. I'm really not good with fish names. Call me naive! I do cook, and eat fish a lot but knowing its name is just... not me..hahahaa!! Anyway, here's the pic of the fish. You tell me, what fish is that?

"Salai fish " over banana leaf on 1st stage of cooking

After adding some sambal paste, here's how it looked like:

Finished product of the fish... nyuummm!!

Madamoiselle & the "Enchanted"

~MOVIE TALK~

Another day with another movie to watch. This time it’s “Enchanted” A fairy tale movie turns reality. It’s a funny love story of finding true love between the fairy tale world and the real world. I just hate the self centered lousy prince… hehe he’s so dumb. The chipmunk’s cute and the princess is ‘so-the-very-the-melating’. The movie is okay. I’ll rated it 6.5 out of 10. I think the excitement of this movie faded as the last 3 of the previous movies I’ve watched, had took me by a total surprise compared to this one. Nonetheless, it’s enjoyable to watch with the kids. Though they make “Eeauwwy” remarks on the kissing part…hahaha…kids!!

Synopsis of ENCHANTED:

"Featuring an all-star cast, the film follows the beautiful princess Giselle (Amy Adams) as she is banished by an evil queen (Susan Sarandon) from her magical, musical animated land and finds herself in the gritty reality of the streets of modern-day Manhattan. Shocked by this strange new environment that doesn't operate on a 'happily ever after' basis, Giselle is now adrift in a chaotic world badly in need of enchantment. But when Giselle begins to fall in love with a charmingly flawed divorce lawyer (Patrick Dempsey) who has come to her aid - even though she is already promised to a perfect fairy tale prince (James Marsden) back home - she has to wonder: can a storybook view of romance survive in the real world?"

Madamoiselle's Birthday

Yey! Hoorey! It’s my Birthday today. Happy Birthday to me..me…yes…Meee!! I sounded pathetic, right? Hehehe… I got a birthday gift from Mr X, my ex boyfriend. He gave me it in advance, yesterday and I really appreciate that he still remembered my special day. I don’t care what gifts he gave but the thoughts do count. Thank you Mr X. Now tell me people, how can I hate him when he’s always nice to me *wink*. This is what he got for me. He just knows how much I crave or chocolates.

Anyhow, this morning, way early in the morning and also last nite, I had prepared a few treats for my colleagues at the office. I brought three menus, well, four to be exact, of which three of them were home-made aka Spicy Fried Spaghetti, Mashed potato, ‘Store-bought’ Chicken [Supasave grilled chicken to be exact…too lazy to make one for today ] and a Chocolate Fudge Almond Brownies for dessert. All made by myself except for the chicken of course. I was the first customer at Supasave supermarket to purchase the hot-just-grilled chicken. Hahaha.. and it was only 8:30 am.

At the office, as I was preparing the foods to be served, my colleagues surprised me with a candle lit Birthday cake and of course the birthday song. Ghee!! Thanks guys… Didn’t expected that for sure. No wonder the office was awfully quite this morning. Normally, I’d be the one who’d come up for something like this, but today, I was the victim. So that is how it felt being embarrassed with all those attentions… hahaha…. Thannx again to everyone for the lovely cake. And oh, I’d like to say thanks too, for all the “MSN Nicks-dedications” from everyone…you know who you are. I had fun ‘reading’ them. I feel advertised! :p Also thanks to Miss Scary Spice for the lovely gift. Not forgetting to Ms Mummy-Qil-&-Shaq, thank you so much for the wonderful cute lil’ cake. Don’t forget to thank the kids eyh!!

yeah my colleagues called me "Babu Baby Kiut"

That cute lil baby is everwhere!! It's chocolate ice cream baby!

Birthday gift cake from "Mummy-Qil-&-Shaq"

My Chocolate Fudge Almond Brownies, Spicy Fried Spaghetti & my Mashed Potato.

Madamoiselle & the "Hitman"

~ Movie Talk ~

This is another one-of-a-kind movie. It may looked like any other assassination movies but there were lots of surprises, it's just the movie you have to watch. Nope, it's not another James Bond type of movie, this one is more than that. The main casts were new faces for me except for the one guy from the Russian police, i think, he's from the "Prison Break" bad guy...always been the bad guy. Another satisfied show to watch, I'll rate it a 9 out of 10.

Synopsis for HITMAN:

The "Hitman" known only as agent 47 is a genetically-engineered assassin who works for a mysterious organisation called The Agency. A ruthless killing machine and the best at what he does, 47 has been trailed for years by a relentless Interpol agent. 47's latest assignment -- the assassination of a power-hungry Russian politician - embroils him in a far-reaching conspiracy. His assignment is further complicated when he is unexpectedly drawn to a beautiful prostitute, Nika, who becomes a "random equation" in 47's precision-fueled work and life

Madamoiselle & Beowulf

~MOVIE TALK~

I never thought it was an animated movie. It was a good one, different but enjoyable to watch. Although, it was a no-children movie, (a few uncensored parts and the violence – definitely not for the kids) but overall, we liked it. What am I talking about? BEOWULF!! Yes, we watched it without any idea of what it was all about. We crashed in to the movies for the 5pm show just now and was really excited coz “N-je-lee-nah choh-leee” (Angelina Jolie) was in it. Rupa rupanya , 3D katun nyantaa. Hehehe.. I thought it was gonna bore me as the characters weren’t handsome enough, the king was disgusting with his almost naked robe, and all the drunken “warriors” were rather annoying. But as it gets to the ugly troll scene, we were shocked. Shocked for the body tearing, hand-twisted, blood everywhere, too horrible to watch. Still, that caught our attention and I get to fall I in love with the story, the humour actually. Hahaha… Ironically, there’s a sad twist out of every heroic movies so here’s just one of ‘em. Overall, I can say, it’s one of the unique movie I’ve ever watched, just like watching “Stardust”. Hmmmm?? Why do I keep mentioning about “Stardust”. Can’t help loving it! Rating for this movie, an 8 out of 10.

Synopsis of BEOWULF :

"In this latest adaptation of the classic, we are brought back to a legendary time of valiant heroes, where the mighty warrior Beowulf battles the demon Grendel and incurs the hellish wrath of the beast's ruthlessly seductive mother. Their epic clash forges the timeless legend of Beowulf."

Madamoiselle & a Friday chores

It’s Laundry day today. Spin and tumbledry, checked! Make sure weather is hot, checked! Pegged to clothesline, checked! Make sure sweet smell of scented laundry fills the air, checked! Phew! Glad that’s over. I just don’t like doing laundries. It took hours for me to finished the chore and I know, I’m slacking when it comes to that.

Once that was over, I had the urge to have a baking session. So I went online for a quick recipe search for cupcakes, which I’ve been meaning to do for almost a week, and found a simply good looking cupcake. I know it’s a simple recipe but I’ve just started to develop an interest to cook and bake two months back and wanted to try to be a self taught chef. Who knows I might be good someday. *I wish*.

Anyhow, made two lovely batches of vanilla cupcakes with light blue butter-cream frosting and chocolate almond topping. Actually, I intended to make just the blue frosting but hadn’t had enough of icing so I had to find an alternative and found a chocolate bar and some chopped almonds in the fridge. And Wa-lah, a chocolate almond cupcake. As for the butter-cream cupcakes, I didn’t have perfect swirls for it but I do love the taste of the soft creamy texture and it’s not too sweet either. Gonna bring them to the office tomorrow and see how they’re gonna like it. :p

My tray of Blue frosting and Chocolate Almond Vanilla Cupcakes.

Edited on 17/11/2007 :: Yey! A success for my cupcakes despite of its unprofessional presentation. Glad my friends liked it and all were gone in their tummies. It’s my 2nd attempt, and it’s an 85% to having a real good cupcake. All I need is more practice and some adjustments for the next session.::

Madamoiselle & Macam2 ada...

:: Going Somewhere & Food Talk ::

Yesterday, I had a brief walk with POQ sister at the Damuan Recreational Park. It has been two months since we last had our mini exercise @ afternoon walk. I thought walking at Damuan would be that exhausting as walking at the Tasek. It turns out that I feel more relaxed and not sweating at all even after two rounds. If I were to have a walk at the Tasek, two rounds of walking got me sweaty and just a hike on the hill got me wet with sweat. Its like having a leisure walk at the Damuan, and its not good if I want to keep fit. Why not Jog then? Teeheee… Kalau paham, Bisai [If understand, Nice!!]. At the moment, I prefer to walk lah..hehehe. So tomorrow, we plan on going to the Tasek instead. Unless, we just want to have a relaxing walk, then I’d go for the Damuan.

Anyway, on Monday, POQ sister and I was quite worried with our excessive eating since the Raya festive season thus planning to have the afternoon “walk”. But the weather was rather gloomy so we ended up going for a tummy fill at the TPH restaurant instead. Silahau!! So much of worrying eih?!! We had “Butter prawn” a favourite dish known by almost everyone, “Nyonya Style Venison” , the meat was lovely but the sauce was way to sweet, and “Brocolli with Tofu”, nyamaaanzzz….. In the end, We regret of having too much food when we were supposed to lose all those disproportionate fats in our wiggly bodies. Hmmpff!!

:: Rants And Raves ::

So what about today’s news? I am still not in a good mood for work. I hate it. Somehow I feel totally demotivated. Life, Work, Love…. Sometimes I wanted to do so much, but had so little time, Less resources, so many ideas, un-encouraging environment, too much pressure, I can only think of a lil’ break. No, a huge break! A break from all these, stay at home and baked cakes and muffins and try all sorts of cooking. Hah! I don’t know why, but I got this “big” interest in learning to bake and cook. I just need my own kitchen, my own things and I’ll be a Chef Gourmet wannabe in fairyland, I wish *Sigh*. I love food. I love to make my friends happy, with food. I love to try new foods. I love to try new recipies. I love to try new restaurants. APAKANzz?? Why all these rants?? I’m mentally blocked. Uh-Oh!!

I have a sort of new addiction of love, that I had mentally blocked all the creative side of me to be super doubly stable. And truly, I don’t like it. My mind’s been off too much for thinking the unpredictability of “Him”. Sheesh! I need to get over him soon. It’s tiring me out and It sure doesn’t give me any positive vibes. He’s a good guy, but I need a more matured guy, A guy who knows how to love you without being told… in which that reminds me of the lyrics of Soulmate from Natasha Beddingfield.

Could it be possible?

“Is it possible Mr. Loveable is already in my life?
Right in front of me or maybe you're in disguise”

Its six months after the breakup, Sometimes I missed the ‘X’ sometimes it felt like nothing. It goes on and off, without being told. Then the "other" guy, instead, came in the midst of vulnerability, was all but a rollercoaster experience. And I’m slowly getting tired of it. My heart is fed up of getting indecisive response. We should be buddies, I guess. Whatever!! I gotta go. I feel drowsy already. Bye! Sweet dreams. Hope tomorrow is a good day to refresh. ** I wish humans can “refresh” when they feel “HANGed” just like computers**

~~BBQ Invitation- Another Never Ending Eating Session~~

-=[Date:10-11-2007 ~ Time:19:22 ]=-

A friend invited me and a few others for a BBQ. It was her parents wedding anniversary, and her mom invited us for the BBQ session. Me, PoQ Sister, Mr & Mrs Meow came and had a full tummy experience. We had Chicken BBQ and their famous SOTO , Noodles and specially made “Kupang Rabus” for us for our dessert…hahaha…totally out of the menu but we love it. We surprised their parents with an anniversary cake and I find it very amusing with their reactions. When you have a big family, it’s amazing how enjoyable it is to have a house full of laughters and joy despite the ups and downs of a marriage. 35 years of marriage..WOW! that is a whole lot of years. Very hard to maintain where divorces were like mushrooms nowadays.

Thank you Miss Sweety-Schleepy for the wonderful dinner. We really do have a great time!!

~~More Eating Sessions, Bee Movie and Strawberries~~

-=[Date:9-11-2007 ~ Time:19:22 ]=-

I’m typing this up while waiting, ready to go for another non stop open-house invitations for Hari Raya. We have two invitations for tonight. One planned and the other last minute. This year, I think the open house invitations are a total lot. I mean, just almost a month, I only have a few gaps of no eating invitations. Tomorrow, there’ll be another for lunch and dinner and one more for Sunday. I think that’s the last eating invitation I’m going to get this month. Phew! I have already booked tomorrow afternoon for a “Walk” at the Damuan recreational park with my siblings but ended up cancelling it for a last minute invitation for a BBQ. Rezeki meluah mbah!! Oops..gotta go, to be continue when I’m back!

-=[ Time: 22:34 ]=-

I’m back. Schleepy but couldn’t sleep. Tummy full, I feel hyperactive despite my eyes feels like shutting down. Maybe my lens are dry, that’s why. Anyhow, I wanted to post what I did for today. Yes! I went to watch “Bee Movie” at the Q=lap Mall just now at 2pm.

The movie was alright, funny but I think “Stardust” was far a better movie to watch. I always forget that we shouldn’t judge a movie but its trailers. But then again, I didn’t say that Bee movie was soooo bad. It’s just that I expected it to be more ….funnier. I like Rene’s voice though. Who doesn’t recognize her voice and of course, who doesn’t recognize the voice of Seinfield? Love ‘em. Still no regrets watching it, kids would love it too.

After the movies, we get to get a lil shopping, and end up eating at “Charcoal”. That’s my first attempt to the place after so long. Had never had a chance to eat there before so we drop by and have a treat of our own. I chose the Salmon and I find it okay. I still prefer the Salmon at Coffee Zone though! Sorry :p.

Oh, By the way, I’m getting “strawberry-crazy” lately. I love the sweet scent of strawberries and got myself a “body spritz” from The Bodyshop, scented of course “Strawberry”. So if you smell a sweet scent of strawberry around you, that’ll be me.haha…I got it for half price coz this month is my Birthday! {coming soon *wink*wink*}. I even got myself a room parfum of the same scent. An addiction to the strawberry- berry :P

~~Movie Talk~~

-=[ Date:5-11-2007 Time: 22:05 ]=-

I’m getting movie ‘kraze’ these days. For the first time, today, I go real ‘kraze’. After work, me and my sistah, Olive, couldn’t resist watching 2 movies in a row. We took the 5pm movie and watched “9 September”, a Malaysian movie and continue watching “Stardust” for the 7pm show. “9 september” is a romantic comedy of a tomboyish lady, Nia (fasha Sanda) who seeks for her boyfriend, but mistakenly, met “kogi” (Pierre Andre) instead. Since then, she has been bullying kogi a lot and as usual somehow, ended up falling in love. But her boyfriend came back to her life and she got back with him and left for Tokyo for a year. Bla..bla ..bla… one yr later, she came back, kogi was sick, they met, he died, she married her boyfriend and named her son “kogi”. The movie was okay and a bit funny. But I love “Stardust” a lot. Total lot! It’s another romantic fairy tale movie, there were witches and kings and princes and funny spirits and magic and many more. But it’s no typical fairy tale movie. It’s hilarious and romantic and I don’t know…. I was never good in giving comments but I know I LOVE IT. It’s a must watch. It’s a two hour movie but it’s all worth it.

Here’s one romantic script I like from the movie:

You know when I said I knew little about love? That wasn't true. I know a lot about love. I've seen it, centuries and centuries of it, and it was the only thing that made watching your world bearable. All those wars. Pain, lies, hate... It made me want to turn away and never look down again. But when I see the way that mankind loves... You could search to the furthest reaches of the universe and never find anything more beautiful. So yes, I know that love is unconditional. But I also know that it can be unpredictable, unexpected, uncontrollable, unbearable and strangely easy to mistake for loathing, and... What I'm trying to say, Tristan is... I think I love you. Is this love, Tristan? I never imagined I'd know it for myself. My heart... It feels like my chest can barely contain it. Like it's trying to escape because it doesn't belong to me any more. It belongs to you. And if you wanted it, I'd wish for nothing in exchange - no fits. No goods. No demonstrations of devotion. Nothing but knowing you loved me too. Just your heart, in exchange for mine.”

She said it perfectly! Stardust, I’m in love!

The Diary ~ C'est La Vie ~

-=[1-11-2007 ~ 20:50 ]=-

Dear Diary,

I had a dream. I dreamt of Mr. X. Two days in a row, I dreamt of him. It was like reminiscing the precious moments we had together. In the dream, we met at our first place we fell in love, far away from home. I don’t know why I was dreaming of him. I thought I was over him. I was sure I had closed my heart for him and had opened another to someone else. I knew my feelings towards the other one had grown, over which I felt it was beyond my feelings for Mr.X. Then again, I dreamt of him last night. It was weird. In the dream, we were closer than ever. He held me tight and I felt the warmth-protective feeling I’ve always had with him before. Very comfortable and I felt safe. Safe in his arms. But it was just a dream.

I recently told a friend, “When you closed a door of your heart to someone, doesn’t mean that it would shut tight forever. Cause the memories will always be there, even when you opened another door for someone else.” Thinking back, I realized those words were actually meant for me. It’s true; it’s hard to forget First Love. I still couldn’t find anyone in my whole life a better person than who he is. I know nobody is perfect. Mr. X was not perfect either. But he had been perfect towards me, compared with all that I’ve met. I knew, I would never find anyone like him….Sigh!

Did I disappoint you or let you down?
Should I be feeling guilty or let the judges frown?
'Cause I saw the end before we'd begun,
Yes I saw you were blinded and I knew I had won.
So I took what's mine by eternal right.
Took your soul out into the night.
It may be over but it won't stop there,
I am here for you if you'd only care.
You touched my heart you touched my soul.
You changed my life and all my goals.
And love is blind and that I knew when,
My heart was blinded by you.
I've kissed your lips and held your head.
Shared your dreams and shared your bed.
I know you well, I know your smell.
I've been addicted to you.

Goodbye my lover.
Goodbye my friend.
You have been the one.
You have been the one for me.

I am a dreamer but when I wake,
You can't break my spirit - it's my dreams you take.
And as you move on, remember me,
Remember us and all we used to be
I've seen you cry, I've seen you smile.
I've watched you sleeping for a while.
I'd be the father of your child.
I'd spend a lifetime with you.
I know your fears and you know mine.
We've had our doubts but now we're fine,
And I love you, I swear that's true.
I cannot live without you.

Goodbye my lover.
Goodbye my friend.
You have been the one.
You have been the one for me.

And I still hold your hand in mine.
In mine when I'm asleep.
And I will bear my soul in time,
When I'm kneeling at your feet.
Goodbye my lover.
Goodbye my friend.
You have been the one.
You have been the one for me.
I'm so hollow, baby, I'm so hollow.
I'm so, I'm so, I'm so hollow.

James Blunt - Goodbye My Lover

~~DOULOS OH DOULOS~~

-=[ Date:31-10-2007 Time: 09:57 ]=-

Have you been to the Doulos ship already? It’s nice to go and visit it. If I’m not mistaken, they’ll be here till Friday. Yesterday, only a few came at the muara port around 5pm. The crowd increases as it gets dark. Mrs Meow and I were there for about an hour and a half and it’s a bit hot at the deck so wear something comfy.

A funny incident happened when we were there. A “Freaky Man” we named him, kept stalking us every where we go. We didn’t realize it until the last half hour we’re there. We noticed him upon arrival when waiting for the bus to come. He came behind us and said something that I don’t even understand. He looks decent and in the early 40’s I guess. I thought he was mumbling to himself so I ignored him. Then the bus came, my friend got pissed off. The guy was rather in a hurry to get onto the bus and was not gentleman enough to let the ladies up first. He was a bit pushy and that ticked Mrs Meow but was still patient enough to ignore him. On the ship, We were talking about how the pricing system was and looked at their listing. Out of no where, the same guy came from behind Mrs Meow and say “Owh , so that’s how the price is!” Like if we were talking to him! An hour later, after getting the books I needed, we stroll around at the shelves near the cashier and there he is just next to us, looking. He was still on the ship and he didn’t even have a single book in his hand. Come on, an hour there and you got nothing?? I went passed him and left Mrs Meow who was busy looking for a book. Later, I came back to Mrs Meow and surprised me that she was in the “First Mom” section where books about first time moms and all. I laughed and said ”What are you doing here?” She told me the freaky man came near her and was looking over her shoulder while she was reading a book. It freaked her and she had to move to the Mother’s section and pretend to read the book. The guy finally left. I laughed and we said aloud “ Eeeh.. Freaky jua orang atu eh!” and just when we turn, he was exactly in front of us and I somehow gave him an insulting look, unintentionally. Hehehe.. He mumbled something but we left hurriedly to the cashier. We had to get out of the ship a.s.a.p. So so creepy, so, so freaky! Luckily, we didn’t see him again after that.

Anyway…..

Yey!! Last night, I had the sweetest reading book for sleep. I finished reading 3 cook books I bought from the “Doulos Ship” . Hahaha… Couldn’t find a book to read, I thought reading a cook book was better to doze me off to sleep in peace. I love ‘em. Nda nyasal membali. Murah kali ah..hehehe ok Got to go back to work. Kana marahi karang. Bye!

The 3 cook books moi bought...love 'em.

One of the pages that drools me.

~~OPENHOUSE & MOVIE TALK~~

-=[ Date: 29-10-2007, Time: 21:13 ]=-

Aaaahhh…Finally on bed with my lappy. As much as I thought I had too much naps that turns out to be a very long sleep, I still feel tired. This morning, me, Mrs. Meow and Miss Scary Spice had an early breakfast. We considered having our breakfast near the office but ended up eating half an hour away instead. Who couldn’t resist our favourite “Indo-mee goreng” dish at the infamous-unglamorous restaurant that only certain people knew about. :-p Lunch was another free meal. An open-house to attend and as always, it was tummy filling. Didn’t took any food all afternoon and already I was way too sleepy.

After work, went to the movies again, this time at the Qlap Cineplex. My sistah and I watched the “Shoot ‘em up” show.

We cracked. The movie was full of shooting action, kinky at times, hilarious in an illogical way, violent that freak us out [the breaking the finger part euuwhh]. I’d say it’s a funny R rated movie that made you feel stupid watching it, yet enjoys the stupidity of the James Bond heroic type of movie. Errr....whatever that means!! Teeheee… okay..I’m off to sleep. I can’t bear to stay awake late these days. Au revoir!

~~ WHEN YOU'RE TIRED, JUST SLEEP!~~

-=[ Date: 28-10-2007, Time: 10:45 ]=-

It’s a rainy day. The sound of raindrops hitting the rooftop has awoken my short nap. I’m tired. I woke up early today but I felt so sleepy, I took a nap again after breakfast. On top of that, I‘ve become a lazy blogger lately. Absolutely lazy! Was stuck with all the Raya festive season, I just couldn’t take an effort to post onto my blog. Had no time to go online. Lots of news for sure, but all has gone to stale. What the heck, I’d keep it posted anyway…sooner or later. This has been a hectic month for me and my blog. I hope I hadn’t bore anyone. I’m sleepy. Uh-oh, my eyes, ….need to doze off again. Bye! Zzzzzz…..

~~ EAT! EAT! EAT! It's Raya, No surprise!~~

-= [Date: 27-10-2007, Time: 23:10 ]=-

Another day with a lot of Open house invitations. Today, there were 3 open houses to attend and a gathering invitation for a buffet dinner. I only managed to go for two of the open houses; one for lunch, and another for tea time. Lunch was a heavy buffet and tea time was our friend’s signature dish, “Soto”. I love their ‘Soto’, their beef broth was just excellent. Too bad, I had to leave early, another buffet invitation awaits at 7pm. Dinner was at Rizqun. I still managed to get a few plates on the table. Gladly, dinner was not in a rush. Lots of us, eat and talk, slow and relaxed. We ended just in time before the restaurant closes. Boy! I know after this month is over, I need to get back to my tracks and try to loose the kilos I’ve gained in just two weeks. And that’ll be very, very hard. : p

~~GRUMPY! FACESHOP! MOVIES~~

-= [Date: 26-10-2007, Time: 23:25 ]=-

Yesterday, was pay day. Miraculously, yesterday was no ordinary pay day. Not many people were seen around the malls and everywhere else. I guess people are still in the festive mood or probably didn’t know it was actually payday. Hmmm… The mall was unusually quite last nite.

Anyway, I was grumpy yesterday afternoon. It was my first time ever being grumpy for no reason. My colleague was worried for my unusual behavior. Had been whining and being so “kusut” for absolutely no reason at all, nothing, zero, nada. Weird huh? That’s why I had to go to the movies after work. Went to The Mall at Gadong to catch up a movie with my sister. It had been a month of fasting and my fasting includes not going to the movies. It felt good to be back in those seats, watching movies in the dark. I still opt for going to a movie rather than watching it on DVD. Probably, because I have an old 21” TV in my room and it was not huge enough to satisfy my visual orgasm. APAKAN?? Hehehe… So why not buy a humongous flat screen TV? Well, for the moment, I need some sponsors. Haha.. Back to my story, I watched “The Last Legion” as that’s the only available movie at 5pm. It was okay though, at least I didn’t need to whine about how bad the movie was as I had before. Aishwarya was in it. She’s been a Hollywood star a lot lately. Just few weeks a go, I watched her former movie, ‘The Mistress of Spice’ in HBO. I like that too. Something different. A love story in a unique way.

After the movie, went to “The Faceshop”. It’s my first to set foot at the place since their opening a few months back. I fell in love with it immediately. Their products had really caught my eye. Lawa berabish! I love their range of makeup. I bought one of their lipsticks which had a very cute packaging and also bought a few others. Couldn’t resist not buying anything there and I was entitled to become a member straight away. Hehe.. Another collection of discount cards I had to take.

I was in glee, walking out of the shop. It’s like I had bought the best toy a child could ever wanted. Another weird emotion I had for the day after my grumpy mood swing. I was never a girlie person who was really into makeups and it was weird to be very happy for that. Feeling totally hungry, we went straight for dinner at Rizqun. Had buffet and I was in luck. My favourite dish was in the buffet. “Steamed Fish Seabass”, Huge ones. I love it. Had two big chunks of the flesh and it was yummy.

Earlier that day, at lunch time, there was no open house for the day, so me and my colleagues, the four of us went to Twelv. The last time I went there was like early last year, I guess. Quite a few changes in their settings but the food were still awesome. I had “Rosemary Chicken” while my colleagues had “Thai BBQ Chic”, “Green Curry Chic” and hmmm.. I don’t remember the other menu but it’s a chic dish..hehe We all had chics that day and its CHICKENLICIOUS I’d say. A great lunch and big laughs we had for the day before my grumpiness crept in. Duh!!

~~ EID MUBARAK OPENHOUSE ~~

-= [Date: 23-10-2007, Time: 20:30 ]=-

Waaa!! Soooo tired eihh!!! My body aches and my feet hurts. I walked like a crimpled ol’haggard and I’m still in the 20’s…ehem..ehem… wahahaha!! I’m beat. So what actually happened?? Nothing much. The day before was just hectic. We had our Openhouse and was opened from 11am and ended at 11pm. A 12 hour of fun, happy, and tiredness. It was our first Openhouse in our new house and it was fun to have lots of friends and relatives to come. Basically, the open-house was meant for mostly friends, since we had had almost everyday open-house for our relatives during the first week of Raya, but we did invite a few close relatives to makan-makan. Anyway, this year we hosted the biggest ever Open-house. Why? Because this was the first time, we had ever made sooo much food after all those years of raya. I can say we had five different SETS of main dish. Just for main dish!! And preparing them was another hectic event. Eventually, there wasn’t much food left by the end of the day so you see, how many people had come. We had only an hour break during the day after lunch and people kept coming after that. It was chaotic during the lunch and dinner hours. The guests kept pouring in and we had to divide ourselves to entertain them. It was fun though especially seeing old friends coming. Lots to say, lots of news, the good old times. No wonder I’ve been very looking forward for Raya this year. It was really my time. Alhamdulillah. Hope next year would be another fun Raya as it is this year.

~~ BACK TO WORK! RAYA MOOD ON!~~

-= [Date: 16-10-2007, Time: 18:55 ]=-

It’s the first day of work after the Raya public holidays. I don’t feel like waking up early. My body aches but I wanted to go to work. Meet friends and have our first raya at work. That’s the fun part. Nobody felt like working as we all were still in the Raya mood. Went to a friends house for her famous “Soto” during lunch. Not an official open house but a crash in lunching. Luckily her mom made lots of “Soto” so we had 2 bowls each. Oh..i gotta go. Au revoir.

~~ SELAMAT HARI RAYA AIDILFITRI~~

-= [Date: 13-10-2007, Time: 23:17 ]=-

Today is first day of Hari Raya Aidilfitri. Selamat Hari Raya Everyone! Maaf Zahir & Batin. I am not able to post any blogs this whole Raya week, not even the week before Raya. I’ve been very busy lately so getting online and posting blogs is out of the list. So I’ll be keeping a diary for a substitute until I got time to post it on blogger.

Today has been a very tiring day. We had an open house for our very close relatives. Lots of foods served but it was really fun. Today, on the menu was, our homemade Satay Goreng set, Our signature dishes, Nasi Ayam and Mee Rebus Singapore. Every year, we had to serve these dishes. We tried to change the menu few years back but people kept asking for these three dishes. So we finally gave in and just serve those for our main dish. Aku plang kelanguan bah every year, same food. Hehehe…Anyway, got to get back to sleep. Tomorrow is another day of tiredness. My parents wanted to have another small open house for our guests tomorrow and that’s mean another cooking event to do again. Waaaa…. Nasib baik I’m not the main chef. Hehehe…

Oh, Btw, I baked these yesterday. My first baking session of muffins, cookies and raspberry cheese tart. So keen with trying it and oklah it comes out just ok lah. hehehe.. the cookies were not original though. I mean, its the ready made cookie mix from "Betty Crocker"I bought but i baked it for sure..haha. My muffins were a bit messy but it was served for today and 90% of it were gone. Some guests thought it was not real. I take it as a compliment *winks* . And my raspberry cheese tart is a bit dry. I need to modify the ingredients next time. But overall, I'm satisfied with my baking experiment. Semangat raya lah katakan. ok Bye!
